Mr. Solomon N. Cash was born in the settlement of Lower Bogue Eleuthera, to the late Harry and Delvira Cash on 22nd December 1963.

He received his early education at the Lower Bogue All Age School. In 1978, he relocated to New Providence and continued his education at The Government High School and graduated in June 1982.

On 19th April 1983, he enlisted into the Royal Bahamas Police Force and embarked on a rewarding career in policing. Upon graduating in October 1983, he received the coveted Baton of Honor. Mr. Cash was posted to Southern Police Station then later to the Criminal Investigation Department, where he spent the majority of his policing career.

He attended many courses internationally and locally, including:
* Criminal Investigation Course - West Yorkshire Police Training School in Wakefield England (10th April to 19th June, 1989)
* Crime Scene Specialist Course - United States Department of Justice (ICITAP) (6th - 17th February, 1995)
* Homicide Investigations - Metropolitan Police Institute, Miami Dade County, Florida (23rd - 26th April, 2001)
* Information Campaigns and Trafficking in Persons Training - International Organization for Migration (11th - 12th November, 2004)
* Undercover Program Workshop - Royal Canadian Mounted Police (March 2005)
* 5th Interpol Regional NCB Staff Training Course - Kingston, Jamaica (April 2006)
* Forensic Interviewing Course - Canadian Police College, Ottawa Ontario (May 2008)
* Command and Responsibilities Seminar - Royal Bahamas Police Force (November 2014)
* International Conference on Strategic Intelligence against Transnational Illicit Traffic in Ports and Airports - Panama National Police (March 2014)

Mr. Cash further developed his skills by studying at the Institute of Certified Managers, and in 2004 he obtained his certification as a Certified Manager.
Mr. Cash's stellar performance and outstanding work ethics, earned him two distinguished awards within the organization; medals for Meritorious Service and Long Service & Good Conduct.
Mr. Cash's dedication, loyalty and commitment to the organization, elevated him through the ranks over the years. In 2014, he was promoted to the rank of Superintendent and was appointed as Director of the Central Intelligence Bureau. In 2017, he was again promoted, to the rank of Chief Superintendent with responsibility as Officer in Charge of the Central Detective Unit. In April 2020, he was promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police, with responsibility for Crime Management and Criminal Investigations.
Assistant Commissioner Cash is family oriented and God-fearing. He spends his leisure time cooking, listening to music, reading and spending quality time with his family. He is a devote member of The Church of God where he attends the Grove Temple Church. He is married to the beautiful Valeria Cash nee Campbell and is a dedicated father to five (5) children and four (4) grand-children.
