👮 Police Cadets Experience History Firsthand at Black Tuesday Reenactment Parliament Street, Nassau, Bahamas
Posted on April 27, 2025 | by The Royal Bahamas Police Force

Police Cadets from the Royal Bahamas Police Force recently took part in a powerful reenactment of Black Tuesday on Parliament Street—an event that brought history to life and reinforced the values of civic duty and national pride.

Held in commemoration of April 27, 1965, the reenactment paid tribute to the moment Opposition Leader Sir Lynden Pindling threw the Speaker’s Mace out of the House of Assembly window, making a bold statement against unfair constituency boundaries and standing up for democracy.

By participating in this significant observance, the cadets not only honored a defining moment in Bahamian political history but also gained deeper insight into the struggles that shaped the nation's path to equality and representation. With discipline and respect, they represented the Force with pride, embracing their role as future leaders and guardians of our shared legacy.
