Chief Superintendent Hinds joined the Royal Bahamas Police Force on the 19th of January 1989, and has served his illustrious organization for 31 glorious years. He is married (20 years) to Mrs. Racquel Hinds of Staniel Cay, Exuma and together they have raised three beautiful children.

- 1989 to March 1990:- Southern Division
- 1990 to June 1996:- Exuma District inclusive of Staniel Cay, Black Point, and Farmers Cay, (the latter Hardship)
- 1996 to 1998:- Central Division, Guard, Magistrate, Supreme and Appellant Courts
- 1998 to 1999:- Attached to C.I.D. Flying Squad
- 2000 to 2006:- Central Division, Guard, Enquiry Section, Crime Manager Detective Section, Station Sergeant
- 2006 to 2016:- Police Training College, In- Service Training Facilitator, Squad Instructor for (6) Squads, Recruit Training Coordinator, Chief Classroom Instructor, Deputy Commandant

- 1998:- Travelled to Chicago, USA on National Tourism Promotional Initiative
- 1998:- Seconded on Chuck Virgil Murder Trial (Court Orderly)
- 2006:- Successfully completed Association of Caribbean Chiefs of Police (A.C.C.P) Exchange Program, U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Thomas, St. Croix, and St John

LIESURE, SPORTS AND SOCIAL INTERESTS
Chief Superintendent Hinds considers his personal relationship with God the most important impetus, for his achievements thus far and he worships quietly and consistently each day as God directs his path. An avid, reader he spends what little spare time reading about a plethora of mixed disciplines including Home & interior design, landscaping, African History, music (all kinds) , psychology (human behavior) and Popular Culture.
Chief Superintendent Hinds loves most sporting disciplines with a particular fondness for Table Tennis, Volleyball, American Football, Boxing, Mixed Martial Arts, and Basketball his “first love”. The sport of basketball has taken him around the world with notable achievements including but not limited to a Commonwealth Championship (best in country), Division One National Championship (over age 22yrs) and Division Two National Championship (under age 22years). Additionally he has represented the Royal Bahamas Police Force, at many Departmental and League Tournaments winning a consortium of championships too numerous to mention.
In recent times he loves giving back to younger sporting enthusiasts by coaching them in the fundamentals of the game and its many tenets and nuisances. The head Coach of the Police Royals Basketball team, he relentlessly pursues perfection in his vocation and all facets of life. God continues to beyond great and merciful to him.
