Grand Bahama Police seize Handgun and Ammunition

Consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Plan for 2017, police in Grand Bahama took an illegal firearm of the streets of Grand Bahama on Wednesday 2nd August 2017.

Reports are that shortly after 2:00pm, officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit, acting on information conducted a search of a bushy area on East Atlantic Drive, where they discovered a silver and black .40 pistol with one magazine containing (6) rounds of ammunition.

No arrest was made in this matter. Investigation will continue.
