Police are investigating a shooting incident

Police on the island of New Providence are investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Thursday 8th, July 2021.

Preliminary reports are that shortly before 10:00 p.m., police were called to the scene of a shooting incident that occurred on Bahama Boulevard, Flamingo Garden. On the officers' arrival, they met an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Initial investigation revealed that the victim had recently arrived at home. As he exited his vehicle, he was approached by a male armed with a handgun. The suspect discharged the weapon in his direction, injuring him before fleeing the scene. Investigation into this matter continues.
