POLICE ARREST FOUR PERSONS FOR POSSESSION OF DANGEROUS DRUGS
The crime fighting initiatives employed by the Royal Bahamas Police Force have again resulted in the arrest of four persons for possession of dangerous drugs on Sunday 17th, January 2021.

In the first incident preliminary reports indicate that shortly before 12:00 pm, while on mobile patrol on Wrights Lane of Fox Hill Road, officers from the Operations Unit noticed a male who aroused their suspicion. The suspect was approached, and a field search was conducted. This resulted in a quantity of suspected marijuana and cash being found on the suspect. He was arrested and taken into custody for being in possession of dangerous drugs with the intent to supply. Investigations into this matter continue.

In a second incident according to reports sometime after 12:00 pm, officers from the Operations Unit where on patrol on Rosedale Street, when they came across a male lying on a chair outside a residence. The male's behavior aroused the officers' suspicion. The suspect was approached, and a field search was conducted. A quantity of suspected marijuana and cash believed to be the proceeds of crime was found. The suspect was arrested and taken into custody for possession of dangerous drugs with the intent to supply and proceeds of crime. Investigations into this matter continue.

In a third incident according to reports while on mobile patrol on Robinson Road and Second Street shortly before 4:00 p.m., officers from the Operation Unit observed the occupants of a black Nissan March who aroused their suspicion. The vehicle was stopped, a field search was carried out which resulted in a quantity of suspected marijuana being found. A male and female were arrested for being in possession of dangerous drugs with the intent to supply. Investigations into this matter continue.
