Police arrested two suspects for possession of an unlicensed firearm

The strategies used by the Royal Bahamas Police Force have resulted in the arrest of a male and female suspect on the island of New Providence for possession of an Unlicensed Firearm on Thursday 13th, May 2021.

Preliminary reports are that shortly 8:00 a.m., officers from the Drug Enforcement and K9 Unit executed a search warrant on a residence situated on Minnie Street. During the search the officers found a black pistol containing (8) eight unfired rounds of ammunition. A male and female were arrested and taken into custody. Investigations into this matter continue.
