Police discovered three unlicensed firearms

The cooperation of the Police and the public has again resulted in the removal of three unlicensed firearms from the streets of New Providence on Wednesday 12th, May 2021.

Preliminary reports are that sometime around 10:00 p.m., officers from the Operation Unit acting on information went to All Saints Road. As the officers approached the targeted site, they observed a male standing near a derelict vehicle. On seeing the police, he fled on foot. A search of the derelict vehicle was conducted. This resulted in three pistols being found. No arrest was made during this incident. Investigations into this matter continue.
