POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A SHOOTING INCIDENT

Police on the island of New Providence are conducting an investigation into a shooting incident that occurred on Monday 26th, April 2021.

Preliminary reports are that shortly after 9:00 p.m., police were alerted by Shot Spotter of gunshots being discharged in the area of Dorsett and Adderley Street, Fox Hill. Officers were dispatched to the scene, however, while enroute they observed two vehicles being driven in a high rate of speed. The vehicles were stopped and it was discovered that a male was suffering from gunshot injuries to the left foot.

The victim stated that while in area of Liberty Baptist Church he was approached by two males clad in dark clothing. One of the suspects discharged a firearm in his direction injuring him before fleeing. He is listed in stable condition; investigation into the matter continues.
