April 11, 2021 POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING TWO SHOOTING INCIDENTS In the first incident, preliminary reports are that sometime around 7:00 p.m., police received information that a male while driving along Malcolm Road and East Street, some unknown person fired gunshots at the vehicle in which he was a passenger. He was injured in the left leg and was transported to the hospital where he is listed in stable condition. Investigations into this matter continue.
In the second incident, preliminary reports are that shortly after 8:00 p.m., a male was standing outside a business establishment situated on Bethel Avenue. When he was approached by another male who produced a firearm and discharged it in his direction. The victim was shot in the left hand, he was taken to the hospital and is listed in stable condition. Investigations into this matter continues.
POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING AN APPARENT DROWNING Preliminary reports are that shortly before 7:00 p.m., officers from the Rock Sound Police station received information that an unresponsive adult male was fished out of the waters of the Ocean Hole located in the settlement of Rock Sound. The male was transported to the Clinic where on completion of an examination, the doctor pronounced him dead. Police will await an autopsy report to determine the exact cause of death. Investigations into this matter continue.
