POLICE DISCOVER AN UNLICENSED FIREARM

The cooperation of members of the public and the Royal Bahamas Police Force resulted in the discovery of an unlicensed firearm on Wednesday 31st, March 2021.

Preliminary reports are that, shortly before 1:00 p.m., officers were called to a business establishment located on Gregory Street. On their arrival, they were informed by an employee that while cleaning out the desk of a former employee. A silver and black pistol was discovered. The officers examined the firearm and found that it contained (14) unfired round of ammunition. Investigations into this matter continue.
