POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING THE COUNTRY'S LATEST HOMICIDE
Police on the island of New Providence are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a male that occurred on Tuesday 9th, March 2021.

Preliminary reports are that sometime after 9:00 p.m., police received reports of a shooting incident that occurred on Sugar Apple Street, Pinewood Garden. Moments later, officers arrived on the scene and met a white Honda Accord in the street with extensive damages. An examination of the vehicle revealed a male in the driver's seat with what appeared to be gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Services visited the scene and pronounced the body lifeless following their examination.

Inquiries also revealed that the driver was travelling east along Sugar Apple Street, when a small Japanese vehicle drove across his vehicle. A male exited the small vehicle and discharged a firearm in the direction of the driver, injuring him. The driver then lost control of the vehicle and collided into a wall. Investigations into this matter continues.
