POLICE ARRESTED A MALE AND FEMALE FOR POSSESSION OF DANGEROUS DRUGS
Police on the island of New Providence have arrested a male and female for possession of dangerous drugs on Monday 11th, January 2021.

Preliminary reports are that shortly after 1:00 a.m., officers from the Operations Unit armed with a search warrant went to a residence on St Vincent Road. While there a male and female presented themselves as the occupants of the residence. A search of the house was conducted and as a result the officers discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana. Both occupants were arrested and taken into custody. Investigations into this matter continue.

POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A SHOOTING INCIDENT
Police on the island of New Providence are investigating a shooting incident which occurred on Monday 11th, January 2021. A male and female are detained in hospital.

Preliminary reports are that shortly after 6:00 p.m., a male and female were seated in a vehicle while parked on Palm Beach Street, when a lone gunman approached them and discharged the weapon in their direction. Both occupants received injuries as a result. They were transported to the hospital via private vehicle. Their condition is not known at this time, investigations into this matter continue.

POLICE ARREST THREE MALES FOR POSSESSION OF UNLICENSED FIREARM
Police on Harbor Island have arrested three males for being in possession of an unlicensed firearm on Monday 11th, January 2021.

Preliminary reports are that shortly after 11:00 pm officers from the Harbor Island Police Station, acting on information, went to an unnamed road on the island. While there, they noticed three males, who when they saw the officers fled on foot. The officers became suspicious and pursued the suspects. One of the officers observed when one of the suspects threw an object. He was caught and taken to the area where the object was thrown. A search of the area was conducted, and the officer found a green and black Taurus pistol. The officers were successful in capturing the other suspects. They were all arrested and taken into custody. Investigations into this matter continue.
