POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A HOMICIDE
Police on the island of New Providence are investigating the circumstances surround the death of a male that occurred on Tuesday 5th, January 2021.

Preliminary reports are that shortly after 8:00 p.m., Police received reports of a shooting incident that occurred on Lincoln Boulevard south, Montel Heights. Officers responded and on their arrival they found the body of a male lying on the ground with what appears to be gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Service visited the scene and pronounced the body lifeless. Initial inquiries revealed that a group of males were gather in a yard, when they were approach by a gun man who discharged a firearm, injuring the victim who succumbed on the scene. Police will await an identification of the next of kin to confirm the victim's identity. Investigations into this matter continue.
