POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING THE COUNTRY'S LATEST HOMICIDES
Police on the Island of New Providence are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of two adult males that occurred in separate incidents on Monday 22nd, February 2021.

In the first incident preliminary reports are that shortly before 7:00 p.m., police were called to a shooting incident that occurred on John Road west of Baillou Hill Road. On the arrival of the first responding officers they met a male suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital via a private vehicle, his condition is not known at this time. A second male victim was found a short distance away with a wound to the head. He was transported to the hospital via Emergency Medical Services, where he later succumbed to his injuries. An adult male was arrested in connection with this incident, he is assisting the police with investigations into this matter.

In a second incident preliminary reports are that shortly after 8:00 p.m., police received information of a shooting incident that occurred on Finlayson Street. Officers responded, and on their arrival they met a male and female suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to the hospital via Emergency Medical services. The male later succumbed to his injuries; the female is listed in serious condition. Investigations into this matter continue.
