POLICE ARRESTED A MALE SUSPECT FOR POSSESSION OF DANGEROUS DRUGS
The strategies employed by the Royal Bahamas Police Force have resulted in the discovery and removal of dangerous drugs from the streets of New Providence on Saturday 6th, February 2021.

Preliminary reports are that shortly after 8:00 a.m., while on routine mobile patrol on Kemp Road in the vicinity of Coopers Terrace. Officers from the Operations Unit observed the occupant of a brown Honda Civic who aroused their suspicion. The vehicle was stopped, and the suspect was made aware of the reason for the encounter. A field search was conducted, during which one of the officers found a quantity of suspected marijuana. The suspect was arrested and taken into custody. Investigations into this matter continue.

POLICE RECOVERED AN UNLICENSED FIREARM
The strategies employed by the Royal Bahamas Police Force have resulted in the discovery and removal of a firearm from the streets of New Providence on Saturday 6th, February 2021.

Preliminary reports are that shortly before 1:00 p.m., acting on information officers from the Operations Unit proceeded to an unpaved road off Denis Court, Yellow Elder. On their arrival, a search was conducted among a number of discarded household items. While doing so, a revolver containing three unfired rounds of ammunition was discovered, no arrest was made during this incident; investigations into this matter continues.
