POLICE ARRESTED TWO MALES FOR BEING IN POSSESSION OF DANGEROUS DRUGS AND AMMUNITION
The efforts of the officers of the Royal Bahamas Police Force, have resulted in the arrest of a male for being in possession of dangerous drugs and ammunition on Friday 22nd, January 2021.

Preliminary reports state that shortly before 9:00 a.m., while on routine mobile patrols in Ferguson Subdivision off Carmichael Road. Officers from the Operations Unit observed two males standing outside a residence who aroused their suspicion. The suspects were approached, and a field search was conducted. As a result, the officers found a quantity of dangerous drugs and (4) .45 rounds of unfired rounds of ammunition. Both suspects were arrested and taken into custody. Investigations into this matter continue.

POLICE INVESTIGATES SHOOTING INCIDENT
Police on the island of New Providence are investigating a shooting incident which occurred on Friday 22nd, January 2021.

Preliminary reports indicate that shortly after 7:00 p.m., a male was standing outside a local bar situated on West Street, when a male approached him with a firearm and shot him in the left leg. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle. He is listed in stable condition. Investigations into this matter continue.
