BIMINI-POLICE ARRESTED MALE REFERENCE TO ILLEGAL FIREARM

Police in Bimini arrested an adult male and confiscated a firearm on Sunday, 20th April, 2025, while in Alice Town.

Initial reports indicate that around 1:00 a.m., officers conducted a routine stop-and-search of a male pedestrian, while near an establishment on Kings Highway. A firearm containing ammunition was discovered, leading to the arrest of the 26-year-old male. The investigation continues.

POLICE SEARCH FOR ARMED BUGLARS

Police are investigating an alleged burglary that occurred at a residence in the Imperial Park area on Sunday, 20th April, 2025, before 4:00 a.m.

Preliminary reports indicate that the occupants of a home on Windward Road were awakened by two unknown males armed with firearms. The suspects allegedly stole personal belongings from the residents before fleeing the scene through a northern window. Investigations are ongoing.

ANDROS: POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING INCIDENT

Police on the island of Andros are investigating a shooting incident that occurred during the early hours of Sunday, 20th April, 2025.

According to initial reports, shortly before 4:00 a.m., the victim a 26-year-old male was sitting in his vehicle in the settlement of Mastic Point, when occupant/s of a silver Japanese-model car discharged gunshots in his direction and fled from the scene.

The victim sustained injuries allegedly from the broken glass particles and was treated at the local clinic. His injuries are not life threatening.
