NEW PROVIDENCE
POLICE TACKLING MASSIVE FIRE
The Royal Bahamas Police Force Fire Services wishes to advise the General Public that officers are on scene at a business establishment on Old Trail Road, actively working to contain and extinguish a large fire at that establishment.
The blaze was reported on Monday, 14th April, 2025, before 11:00 a.m. Due to heavy smoke in the area, motorists traveling along Old Trail Road, East West Highway, and surrounding roadways are advised to exercise extreme caution, as visibility may be reduced.
In response to the magnitude of the fire, Airport Fire Services are providing critical assistance on scene, while manpower support is also being rendered by the Royal Bahamas Defense Force. Additionally, off-duty officers from the Police Fire Services have been called in to assist with firefighting efforts.
Three (3) police officers sustained minor injuries during the operation and are currently receiving medical attention.
Fire Services continue to work tirelessly to bring the blaze under control, and further updates will be provided as necessary.

ARRAIGNMENT
On Monday, 14th April 2025, an adult male and female will be arraigned before the Magistrate’s Court Freeport at 10:00 a.m., charged with Murder.
These charges stem from a shooting incident that occurred on Monday,7th April 2025, on Ludford Drive off Churchill Drive that claimed the life of an adult male.
