NEW PROVIDENCE
POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING INCIDENT
On Saturday, 5th April, 2025, shortly before 12:30 p.m., police responded to a shooting incident outside a home on Pigeon Pea Lane off Camperdown Lane.
According to initial reports, a 43-year-old female was shot and robbed of her property by an unknown gunman. The culprit left the scene in a red-coloured jeep.
The victim was transported to the hospital for medical attention, where she is listed in stable condition.

POLICE SEIZED TWO HIGH-POWERED WEAPONS & ILLEGAL DRUGS
During a joint law enforcement operation on Saturday, 5th April, 2025, officers confiscated two high-powered weapons, ammunition, and a quantity of suspected Marijuana off Shirley Street.
Initial reports indicate that shortly after 1:30 p.m., the team acted on information and conducted a search in an area off Balls Alley. The operation resulted in the confiscation of two (2) loaded high-powered weapons, a quantity of ammunition, and a quantity of suspected Marijuana. No arrests were made. The weight of the suspected Marijuana is 6.8 pounds with an estimated street value of $6,800.00.

UNDATE ON MISSING ELDERLY MALE
The Police wish to inform the public that on Saturday, 5th April 2025, the lifeless body of a male was discovered in Western New Providence. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the deceased was 85-year-old Mr. Daniel Thenor, who was last seen on Saturday, 29th March 2025, in the Flamingo Gardens area.
The information received is that the deceased suffered from a particular illness. Furthermore, the body was examined, and no foul play is suspected at this time.

SAN SALVADOR
SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF ILLEGAL DRUGS CONFISCATED
On Sunday, 6th April 2025, police in San Salvador confiscated a large quantity of suspected cocaine shortly before 9:00 a.m.
According to the preliminary report, officers acting on information received conducted a thorough search of a beach, where they discovered and confiscated the suspected packages of cocaine. The suspected cocaine weight is seventy-five (75lbs.) with an estimated street value of $750,000.00.
The Drug Enforcement Unit will continue to investigate this matter.
ELEUTHERA: SUSPECTED DRUGS SEIZED; MAN ARRESTED
Police in Eleuthera arrested an adult male on Saturday, 5th April, 2025, following the seizure of suspected drugs.
Preliminary reports indicate that shortly before 4:00 p.m., officers executed a search warrant at a residence in Spanish Wells. During the search, they discovered a quantity of suspected cocaine and arrested the sole occupant of the home, a 69-year-old man. A substantial amount of cash was also seized from the premises suspected of being the proceeds of crime.
The suspected cocaine estimated weight is 1.5 pounds, with an estimated street value of $15,000.00. Investigations into this matter are ongoing
