NEW PROVIDENCE
POLICE INVESTIGATE DISCOVERY OF MALE BODY
Police have launched an investigation following the discovery of a male body on a beach on Paradise Island on Saturday, 5th April, 2025.
Officers were alerted shortly after 5:30 a.m., and on arrival at the beach they observed an unresponsive male lying on the shoreline. Emergency Medical Services attended the scene and found no vital life signs.
A post-mortem examination will be performed to determine the exact cause of death. Investigations are ongoing into this matter.
POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING INCIDENT
On Saturday, 5th April, 2025, shortly after midnight, police responded to a shooting incident in the Arawak Cay area off West Bay Street, that has left a male hospitalized.
The preliminary information indicated that a confrontation occurred at an establishment involving several males. During the altercation, a firearm was brandished and discharged, injuring one male.
He was transported to the hospital for medical attention. The condition of the victim was last listed as stable. Investigation continues into this matter.

ELEUTHERA: POLICE INVESTIGATE TRAFFIC FATALITY
Police in Eleuthera are investigating a fatal accident that took place on Friday, 4th April, 2025, before 8:30 p.m., on Queen’s Highway near a bridge.
Responding officers arrived on scene and discovered two damaged vehicles and an unresponsive injured male. According to the information received, the victim was attempting to pull a vehicle into his yard when a collision occurred as another vehicle was travelling east. The victim was examined by a doctor who found no vital signs of life. The investigation continues.
