NEW PROVIDENCE
POLICE INVESTIGATE TRAFFIC FATALITY
Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred on Monday, 24th March 2025, shortly before 2:00 a.m., that claimed the life of a 39-year-old male.
According to the preliminary report, the victim was travelling south on Soldier Road in the area of Woodlawn Gardens on a red and white Honda 650 motorcycle when he lost control and collided with a lamp pole. As a result, Emergency Medical Services visited the scene and examined the victim but found no vital signs of life.
DEATH INVESTIGATION
Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred on Monday, 24th March 2025, shortly before 8:00 a.m., that claimed the life of a male believed to be in his fifties.
According to the preliminary report, the victim was travelling north on Jean Street, driving a blue Nissan Sentra, when he lost control, swerved to the side of the street and collided with a fence. As a result, Emergency Medical Services visited the scene and examined the victim but found no vital signs of life.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
POLICE INVESTIGATE ARMED ROBBERY
Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Monday, 24th March 2025, shortly after 6:00 a.m. at a business establishment on Nassau Street.
According to the preliminary report, the manager of the establishment was about to open the business when she was accosted by two men armed with firearms who forced themselves inside. The culprits, who wore dark clothing and ski masks, robbed the establishment of its deposit bags containing a large sum of cash. After which, they made good their escape in an unknown direction.
Police are appealing to members of the public who may have any information as it pertains to this incident or any other incidents to contact 919/911, the Criminal Investigations Department at 502-9991/2/3, or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The Royal Bahamas Police Force wishes to inform the public that several typed documents circulating via emails and on social media, purportedly signed by its members and addressed to the Cyber Security Unit, are false. Hence, an investigation was launched into this fraudulent incident.
