NEW PROVIDENCE
MAN INJURED IN SHOOTING INCIDENT
An investigation is underway into a shooting incident that occurred on Friday, 21st March 2025, in Montell Heights, leaving a 29-year-old male hospitalized.
Shortly before 11:20 p.m., police were alerted by ShotSpotter Technology of gunfire in the area of Mantol Street off Henry Street. According to initial reports, the victim was at the rear of a residence when he allegedly sustained a gunshot wound to the upper body by a male suspect wearing orange shirt, who fled from the scene.
The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance for medical treatment, where his condition was last listed by medical personnel as fair.
POLICE INVESTIGATE ROBBERY
Police are investigating an alleged robbery incident that occurred on Friday, 21st March 2025, outside a business establishment on University Drive.
Preliminary reports indicate that sometime around 3:30 p.m., a black Japanese-model vehicle stopped near the victim when an unknown male exited and stole his bag containing a large sum of cash. The culprit returned to the vehicle and left the scene traveling in an eastern direction.
POLICE CONFISCATED HIGH-POWERED WEAPON & AMMUNITION
On Friday, 21st March 2025, shortly after 10:00 p.m., law enforcement officers confiscated a highpowered weapon from Lipton Court off Abraham Street.
According to preliminary reports, officers from Operation Black Scorpion acted on information and confiscated a high-powered weapon containing ammunition. No arrests were made.
Black Scorpion is a collaborative operation involving the police and officers from the Royal Bahamas Defense Force.

BIMINI: THREE MEN ARRESTED FOR AMMUNITION POSSESSION
Police in Bimini seized ammunition and arrested three individuals on Friday, 21st March, 2025, at a residence in Alice Town.
Initial reports indicate that shortly after 11:00 p.m., officers while investigating a complaint discovered the ammunition inside a home. Consequently, the three male occupants ages 55, 32, and 24 were taken into custody and are assisting with the investigation.

Police seek the public’s assistance in locating the mentioned vehicle below that was reported stolen on Friday, 21st March, 2025:
- A 2012 Honda Pilot L/P #AM4392 – stolen from Cowpen Road near Spikenard Road.

FATAL ACCIDENT AT SEA
An investigation is underway into the death of a female British/Czechoslovakia national that occurred on 22nd March, 2025, on Half Moon Cay.
Shortly after 1:00 p.m., police in Eleuthera were alerted of the incident by the island manager. As a result, officers proceeded to Half Moon Cay. Upon there arrival, officers conducted the initial investigation which revealed that the female who was a passenger on a cruiseline was riding a Jet ski when she allegedly lost control and collided with a rock resulting in the accident.
Medical personnel rendered assistance to the victim but to no avail. She was pronounced deceased by the local medical doctor.
