NEW PROVIDENCE
POLICE INVESTIGATE HOMICIDE
Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Friday, 21st March 2025, in the community of Englerston, which resulted in the death of an adult male.
Initial reports indicate that, shortly after midnight, an unknown male armed with a firearm entered a business establishment on Charles Vincent Street and discharged multiple shots before fleeing the scene in a dark-coloured Japanese-model vehicle north on Charles Vincent Street. As a result, a man sustained gunshot injuries while inside the business and was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle, where he was later pronounced dead by a doctor.
POLICE INVESTIGATE ATTEMPTED SUICIDE
An investigation is underway into an alleged suicide attempt of a 23-year-old female that occurred on Thursday, 20th March 2025, at a residence on Sea Breeze Lane.
Police were alerted of the incident after 10:00 p.m. According to preliminary reports, the individual allegedly ingested a large quantity of over-the-counter medication. She was transported to the hospital by ambulance for medical treatment, where she was last listed as stable.
