NEW PROVIDENCE
POLICE INVESTIGATE ARMED ROBBERIES
Police are investigating two alleged armed robbery incidents that occurred in the capital.
Incident 1 – Fleming Street off Market Street
On Friday, 14th March, 2025, shortly before 11:00 p.m., an unknown male suspect, allegedly armed with a firearm, exited a white Japanese-model car and confronted a pedestrian. The suspect stole a sum of cash before fleeing in the vehicle in an unknown direction.
Incident 2 – Lobster Avenue off Carmichael Road
On Saturday, 15th March, 2025, shortly before 2:00 a.m., the victim was seated inside a white 2013 Honda Fit when two unknown males approached. One of the suspects brandished a firearm as they robbed the victim of the vehicle. After which, the suspects entered the stolen vehicle and fled the scene in an unknown direction.
POLICE SEIZE TWO FIREARMS-TWO INDIVIDUALS ARRESTED
On Saturday, 15th March, 2025, police confiscated (2) firearms and arrested two men in two separate incidents.
Incident 1 – Willis Street, Nassau Village
Shortly after 2:00 a.m., police were alerted by ShotSpotter Technology of gunfire on Alexandria Avenue, Nassau Village. Initial reports indicate that officers from the Traffic Division responded and observed a male running. Following a brief pursuit that ended on Willis Street, officers conducted a search of the male and confiscated a loaded firearm. The 32-year-old male was taken into custody and is assisting with the investigation.
Incident 2 – Rosedale Street off Mackey Street
Shortly before 3:30 a.m., ShotSpotter Technology detected gunshots in the area of Rosedale Street. According to preliminary reports, officers from the Mobile Division responded and encountered a male acting suspiciously. Officers conducted a search of the male which resulted in the discovery of a loaded firearm. Consequently, the 33-year-old male was arrested and is assisting with the investigation.
Investigations are ongoing into both matters.
SUICIDE INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY
Police are investigating an alleged suicide of a 22-year-old man that occurred at a residence on Friday, 14th March, 2025.
Officers were alerted of the incident around 4:30 p.m., at a home in Star Estates off Prince Charles Drive. Upon their arrival, they found the man unresponsive, with an object tied around his neck and hanging from the ceiling. Emergency Medical Services visited the scene and found no vital signs of life. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
STOLEN VEHICLE ALERT
Police seek the public’s assistance in locating the following vehicles that were reported stolen:
- A silver 2009 Nissan Note L/P #SN4901 – reported stolen on Friday, 14th March, 2025, from Bahamas Games Boulevard.
- A red 2008 Nissan Note L/P #DB7787 – reported stolen on Saturday, 15th March, 2025, from Star Crest Court.

ABACO: FIVE INDIVIDUALS ARRESTED FOR IMMIGRATION PURPOSES
On Friday, 14th March, 2025, police on Moore’s Island have arrested five (5) undocumented individuals.
According to initial reports, officers acting on information arrested two males and three females. The three females, one being a minor are Columbian nationals and two males are Chinese nationals. Investigations are ongoing.
