NEW PROVIDENCE
POLICE INVESTIGATE ARMED ROBBERIES
Police have launched investigations into two (2) separate alleged armed robberies that took place in the capital.
The first incident occurred on Friday, 7th March, 2025, around 2:30 p.m. on Commonwealth Boulevard, Blair Estates. Preliminary reports indicate that the victim was at a park when an unknown male occupant of a purple Japanese-model vehicle robbed him at gunpoint. The culprit stole a leaf blower from the victim, returned to the vehicle and fled the scene.
The second incident occurred on Saturday, 8th March, 2025, shortly after midnight, outside a residence on Cascarilla Street, Pinewood Gardens. Initial reports indicate that upon arriving at a home inside a sky blue 2012 Nissan Note L/P #DB6244, the victim was approached by two unknown males, one armed with a firearm who demanded he exit the vehicle. He complied, and the culprits left the area in the vehicle traveling west along Cascarilla Street.
STOLEN VEHICLE ALERT
Police seek the public’s assistance in locating the mentioned vehicle below that was reported stolen on Friday, 7th March, 2025:
- A gray 2003 Honda CR-V L/P #AJ7161 – stolen from Gladstone Road/

FIRE SERVICES CONTINUE TO COMBAT BLAZE
The Royal Bahamas Police Force Fire Services wishes to advise the General Public that officers are on scene at Ecology Park, off Tonique Darling Highway, actively working to contain and extinguish a large fire involving multiple derelict vehicles.
The blaze was reported on Saturday, 08th March, 2025, shortly before noon. At this time, there is no threat to nearby properties. However, due to heavy smoke, motorists traveling in the surrounding areas are advised to exercise caution, as visibility may be reduced.
Fire Services will continue their efforts, and updates will be provided as necessary.
