POLICE INVESTIGATE ALLEGED BOMB THREAT
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a bomb threat at a local medical hospital that occurred on Friday, 7th March, 2025.
Shortly after 3:00 p.m. the Police Control Room received a report from security personnel at the hospital indicating that they received a bomb threat via phone from an anonymous caller. As a result, police officers from the Anti-Terrorism Unit responded to the scene and conducted a bomb sweep with negative results. After which, the all clear was given.
Investigation continues.
NORTHERN BAHAMAS
ABACO: POLICE INVESTIGATE TRAFFIC FATALITY
Police in Abaco are investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred on Thursday, 6th March, 2025, shortly after 10:00 p.m.
Preliminary report revealed that the driver of a gold Nissan Sunny was travelling east and the driver of a black Ford F-150 was travelling west on Forest Drive when the collision occurred. Both drivers sustained injuries; however, the 57-year-old female driver of the Nissan Sunny succumbed to her injuries on the scene.
Investigations are ongoing.
