NEW PROVIDENCE
ARMED ROBBERY INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY
On Tuesday, 25th February 2025, police launched an investigation into an alleged armed robbery that took place on Palmetto Avenue.
Preliminary reports indicate that the victim was assisted via vehicle to the Palmetto Avenue area for a transaction by a male known to him and an unknown male. Later, while in that vicinity, another male unknown to him entered the vehicle, produced a firearm, robbed him of the cash for the transaction and ordered him out of the vehicle. The culprits then sped off and left the area in a beige Japanese model vehicle.
STOLEN VEHICLE
Recovered
The following vehicles were recovered on Tuesday, 25th February, 2025:
- A brown 2015 Nissan Cube L/P #AV3146 – recovered from Roland Street. It was reported stolen in Misty Gardens on Tuesday, 25th February 2025.
- A red 2013 Nissan Note – recovered from Fourth Street, Coconut Grove. It was reported stolen from Chrysanthemum Avenue on Tuesday, 25th February 2025.
Stolen
Police seek the public’s assistance in finding the following vehicles that were reported stolen on Tuesday, 25th February 2025:
- A brown 2020 Nissan Cube L/P #AX9455 – stolen from Tonique Darling Highway.
- A white 2013 Nissan Note – stolen from Blue Hill Heights.
- A red 2014 Nissan Juke L/P #AR6629 – stolen from Bruce Street, Ridgeland Park.
