Chief Superintendent Jamuel Ferguson joined the Royal Bahamas Police Force on May 1, 1984. Throughout his 36 years of service he has worked in a number of areas within the organization inclusive of:

Family Island District (Chub Cay, Great Harbour Cay and Andros (1984 -1989)

• Drug Enforcement Unit (1989- 2014)


• South Central (Grove) Division (2014- 2017)


• Security & Intelligence Branch (2017)


• Drug Enforcement Unit (2017- 2020)


• Southern Division 2020- Present

During his tenure at the Drug Enforcement Unit, he was attached to various Financial Investigation Units in the United Kingdom for three (3) months. During this period he successfully completed a Money Laundering and Financial Investigation Course.

Chief Superintendent Ferguson has attended numerous training courses and seminars both locally and internationally inclusive of Washington DC, Trinidad, Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Guadeloupe. Additionally, he has represented the organization at international conferences in Trindad, Austria and Puerto Rico.

Chief Superintendent Ferguson obtained his formal education from the Government High School graduating in 1983. He is married with three children.
