Police Seize Three Illegal Firearms

Consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Priorities for 2017, police took three illegal firearms off the streets of New Providence in separate incidents on Thursday 27th July 2017.

In the first incident shortly after 1:00pm, officers assigned to the Southeastern Division acting on information conducted a search of a bushy area on Catherine Street, Nassau Village, where they uncovered an Austria Glock pistol with 55 rounds of ammunition.

In the second incident shortly after 7:00pm, officers assigned to the Eastern Division acting on information conducted a search of bushes in the rear of an abandoned building off Jim Carey Alley, Fox Hill, where they uncovered a 12- Gauge shotgun.

Then shortly around 11:00pm, officers assigned to the Eastern Division acting on information conducted a search of a garbage bin on Garden Wells Road off Shirley Street, where they uncovered an Austria Glock pistol.
