Police Seize Handgun and Drugs

Consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Priorities for 2017, Police seized a handgun and a quantity of dangerous drugs in separate incidents on Tuesday 25th July 2017. In the first incident, around 1:30pm, Drug Enforcement Unit officers on routine patrol conducted a search of a premises located in Kemp Road, where they uncovered five pounds of marijuana.

Then a few minutes later, Eastern Division officers on routine patrol conducted a search of a premises located off Prince Charles Drive, where they uncovered a 9- millimeter pistol with 15 rounds of ammunition. No arrests were made in these two incidents. Investigations are ongoing
