Police Seize High Powered Weapon. Two in Custody

Consistent with the Commissioner's Policing Priorities for 2017, officers from the Eastern Division seized an AK-47 Assault Weapon and took a male and a female into custody on Wednesday 31st May 2017.

Reports are that shortly after 6:30am, officers assigned to the Eastern Division executed a search warrant on home located at Pepper Road, Eastwood Estates and uncovered an AK-47 Assault Rifle along with 30 rounds of ammunition. Two residents of the home, a male and female, were taken into custody in connection with this find. Investigations are ongoing.
