Five (5) people, three (3) Bahamians, ages 56, 45 and 32 along with two (2) Guyanese ages 28 and 26 years, are in police custody after they were found in possession of a large quantity of suspected cocaine. Preliminary reports indicate that around 5:00 pm on Sunday 19th February, 2012 officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit acting on information proceeded to Bayshore Marina, East Bay Street where they discovered the drugs. The drugs weighed ten (10) pounds and have an estimated street value of eighty thousand ($80,000.00) dollars. Active police investigations continue.

Officers of CDU Makes Firearm Arrest
Two men, ages 27 and 20 years including a 17 year old juvenile male, are in police custody after they were found in possession of a handgun and ammunition. Initial police reports indicate that around 12:45 am on Sunday 19th February, 2012 officers of the Central Detective Unit were on routine patrol on Davis Street off Thompson Boulevard when they conducted a search of a Honda Accord and discovered the items. Police are questioning a 20 year old male of Hampster Road off Carmichael Road in connection with a number of armed robberies on the public transportation system. Mobile Makes $76,000.00 Drug Bust At LPIA.
A 25 year old female of Third Street, Coconut Grove is in police custody after she was found in possession of a large quantity of suspected Cocaine. Officers of the Mobile Division accompanied by officers of the Airport Police Station arrested the female around 7:15 am on Sunday 12th February, 2012 in the Pre-Clearance Section of LPIA. The drugs weigh four and three quarter (43/4) pounds, over two (2) kilos, and have a street value of seventy-six ($76,000.00) dollars. Active police investigations continue.

In keeping with the Commissioner of Police Policing Plan, 'Tackling Crime", officers of the Central Division continues to remove illegal drugs from the streets of New Providence. On Monday 7th February, 2012 sometime around 7:00 pm officers of the Central Division acting on information went to a bushy area in Fox Hill where they discovered a large quantity of suspected marijuana. The drugs weighed fifteen (15) pounds and have an estimated street value of fifteen thousand ($15,000.00) dollars. No one was taken into custody. Active police investigations continue.

A 23 year old male of Armbrister Street, Fox Hill is in police custody after being found in possession of handgun and ammunition. Initial police reports indicate that around 3:15 am on Sunday 5th February, 2012 police received information of an armed robbery in the area of Fox Hill Park. Officers of the Mobile Division responded and while on Reeves Street, Fox Hill observed a male wearing a jeans pants and black shirt acting suspiciously. GB Police Uncovers Firearm
Officers of the Grand Bahama District in keeping with the Commissioner of Police Policing Plan "Tackling Crime", uncovered a firearm in bushes off Adventurer's Way. Initial police reports indicate that around 4:45 pm on Saturday 4th February, 2012 police at Grand Bahama acting on information proceeded to Bruce Avenue where they observed a group of men acting suspiciously. It is reported that on seeing the police, one of the men produced a handgun, pointed it in the direction of the police while fleeing through nearby bushes. Police gave chase; however, the culprit was able to evade police. A check of the area where the culprit ran revealed a handgun and ammunition. Active police investigations continue.

Southeastern Division Arrests Man With Gun and Ammunition
Police throughout the country, in keeping with the Commissioner of Police Policing Plan "Tackling Crime", continue to remove illegal firearms from the streets. Around 2:20 pm on Friday 3rd January, 2012 officers of the Southeastern Division were on routine patrol on Baillou Hill Road south, when they observed a male on a bicycle acting suspiciously. It is reported that the male on seeing the police threw an object into nearby bushes. Officers pursued the male, caught up with him and conducted a search of the area where they object was thrown and discovered a handgun along with a quantity of ammunition. The 20 year old male of Kendal Avenue was taken into custody. Active police investigations continue.

Ten Arrested For Drugs
A team of officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit arrested a 42 year old Bahamian male and nine (9) foreign nationals for possession of dangerous drugs and for Immigration purposes.
It was approximately 2:30pm on Monday 30th January, 2012 when the officers who were armed with a search warrant went to a residence off Royal Palm Way, Lucaya, and executed the warrant. This search led to the discovery of ten (10) pounds of marijuana with a street value of $10,000.00.

Mobile Arrest Man With Firearm and Stolen Vehicle
A 29 year old male of Nassau East north is in police custody after he was found driving a stolen vehicle. According to police reports, four (4) hours after a black Ford Equinox was reported stolen from a club at West Bay Street, police arrested a 29 year old male after he was found driving the SUV. Initial police reports indicate that shortly after 7:00 am on Sunday 29th January, 2012 officers of the Mobile Division were on routine patrol on East Street when they received information that the SUV was seen through Odle Corner. Officers proceeded to Odle Corner where they observed the vehicle being driven by the male. It is reported that the driver on seeing the police attempted to evade them and crashed into a nearby wall. Officers pursued the suspect caught up with him and conducted a search of the vehicle where they discovered a handgun. Active police investigations continue.

Two (2) men, ages 54 and 29 years, are in police custody after they were found in possession of a large quantity of suspected marijuana.
According to police reports shortly before 6:00 pm on Saturday 28th January, 2012 officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) executed a search warrant on a residence at Princess Street, Mt. Tabor Estates where they discovered forty-three (43) crocus sacs of suspected marijuana.
The drugs weighed eight hundred and seventy-two (872) pounds and have a street value of eight hundred and seventy-two thousand ($872,000.00) dollars. Active police investigations continue.

Central Division "Operation Firestorm"
In keeping with the Commissioner of Police Policing Plan "Tackling Crime", officers of the Central Division conducted "Operation Firestorm" on Friday 27th January, 2012 which resulted in three (3) people, two (2) males and a female being arrested. A 54 year old male of Rosebud Street off Farrington Road was arrested after officers conducted a search of an abandoned truck and discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana. A 22 year old male, along with a 21 year old female was arrested after officers executed a search warrant on their West and Wilkinson Street home and discovered an imitation firearm along with quantity of suspected marijuana. GB: Two Firearms Taken off Streets
This morning, Friday 27th January, 2012, police here on the island of Grand Bahama are continuing their investigations into an incident which led them to the North Bahamia area at approximately 6:00pm last evening, Thursday 26th January, 2012 where they recovered a shot gun. In a continued effort to remove illegal firearms from the streets of Grand Bahama, a few hours later the officers recovered a second firearm, a handgun along with a quantity of ammunitions in the Freeport area.

Around 9:20 pm on Tuesday 24th January, 2012 officers of the Mobile Division acting on information proceeded to Carew Street off Montrose Avenue where they observed a male wearing a white shirt and blue jeans pants acting suspiciously.vIt is reported that the 22 year old male, a resident of Kingston Street off Kemp Road, on seeing the officers fled into a nearby residence. Officers pursued the suspect, conducted a search of the home and discovered a handgun, along with a quantity of ammunition. Additionally, police arrested two (2) males found in the home. One of the males, a 45 year old of Hospital Lane was arrested on an outstanding Criminal Warrant of Arrest and the other a 41 year old of Carew Street was arrested on and outstanding Warrant of Arrest. In keeping with Priority Six (6) of the Commissioner of Police Policing Plan, "Protecting Our Borders", officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit arrested a 28 year old male, after he was found in possession of a large quantity of drugs. Initial police reports indicate that around 12:55 pm on Monday 23rd January, 2012 officers of the Drug Enforcement were in the domestic section of LPIA when they observed a male, who had recently disembark a flight from Great Inagua, acting suspiciously. Officers conducted a search of the male and uncovered four (4) Kilos of suspected cocaine, with an estimated street value of sixty thousand ($60,000.00) dollars. The male, a resident of Sir Lynden Pindling Estates, was taken into custody. Active police investigations continue.

GB: Suspect Arrested After Robbery. Gun Found
Police on Grand Bahama have arrested a 23 year old male and are actively in pursuit of a second male responsible for an armed robbery. The incident reportedly occurred around 8:00 pm on Friday 20th January, 2012. Initial police reports indicate that a male on arrival to his residence at Ken Circle was approached by two (2) men both of whom were allegedly armed with handguns, demanding cash. The culprits reportedly robbed the victim of his 1990 Nissan Turbo, an I-phone along with his wallet, which contained an undisclosed amount of cash and other personal effects, and fled the area. Acting on information detectives went to a bushy area off the Grand Bahama Highway, near the Water Tank, where they arrested the male, a resident of Jennings Place, after he was found in possession of a handgun and ammunition. Initial police reports indicate that shortly after 1:00 am on Friday 20th January, 2012 officers of the Mobile Division were on routine patrol on East Street and Gibbs Corner when they observed the driver of a red Ford Ranger truck fail to stop in obedience to the traffic light. Southern Division Arrests Juvenile for Handgun
A 17 year old juvenile male is in police custody, after he was found in possession of a shotgun and shotgun shells. Initial police reports indicate that shortly before 10:00 pm on Wednesday 18th January, 2012 officers of the Southern Division were on routine patrol on Thompson Lane off East Street, when they observed the teen discharging the weapon. It is reported that the teen on seeing the officers ran. The officers gave chase and subsequently arrested the Fritz Lane resident. Active police investigations continue.

3 Arrested After Robbery. Gun and Cash Found
Three (3) men involved in an early morning armed robbery at a local business establishment are in police custody. Initial police reports indicate that around 6:30 am on Wednesday 18th January, 2012 police received information of an armed robbery at a business establishment located Wulff Road east of Pinedale Road. Police responded and while in route observed a white Honda Saber occupied by two (2) males, fleeing the area. Police pursued the vehicle and intercepted it in the area of Garden Hills, where they arrested two (2) men and confiscated a shotgun along with a radio set. Later in the afternoon police arrested a third (3) male after a short pursuit, that resulted in the suspect's vehicle crashing on Finlayson Street off Poinciana Drive.
Officers conducted a search of the suspect's home and discovered a handgun, a second radio set, a pair of binoculars, a quantity of suspected marijuana, along with a large amount of cash believed to property of the business establishment. Police are actively seeking two (2) additional males in connection with this incident. Active police investigations continue.

DEU Arrests Four for Handgun and Drugs
In two (2) separate incidents officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) arrested four (4) people. In the first incident, a 54 year old mother and her 30 year old son were taken into custody after DEU officers executed a search warrant on their residence at Flamingo Road and discovered a handgun, ammunition and a quantity of suspected marijuana. According to police reports DEU officers arrested the two around 12:45 pm on Wednesday 18th January, 2012. The drugs weigh two and a half (2 1/2) pounds and have an estimated street value of two thousand five hundred ($2,500.00) dollars.
A short while later, officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) executed a search warrant on a home at Orchard Close, off Sea Breeze Lane where they discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana. Two (2) men ages, 32 and 30 years, were taken into custody. Active police investigations continue.

A 24 year old male of Kennedy Sub-division is in police custody after officers conducted a search of his vehicle and discovered a handgun and ammunition. According to police reports around 10:30 pm on Tuesday 17th January, 2012 officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit were on routine patrol on Soldier Road, east of East Street when they conducted a search of a 1999 gray Honda Accord and discovered the items. Officers also conducted a search of the suspect residence and discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana. Active police investigations continue.

Mobile Division Enforces Rules of the Road
In keeping with priority four of the Commissioner of Police Policing Plan 2012 "Enforcing The Rules of The Road" a team of officers from the Mobile Division took to the streets of the city with just that in mind; to enforce the rules of the road! There were six (6) patrol units which left Mobile Base sometime around 5pm and took up static duties at the intersection of Solider Road and Prince Charles Drive looking for road traffic offenders. During the operation, the team netted the following results; 75 Fixed Penalty Notices Citations, 6 Traffic Offence Reports Citations, 20 Individual Searches, 5 Arrests for Outstanding Warrants, 1 Arrested for a BOLO and 3 Arrests for Breach of the Immigration Act.

On Thursday 27th October, 2011 police issued a wanted bulletin for OMAR CHISLOM reference to a double shooting incident which occurred at Fowler Street off East Bay Street on Wednesday 26th October, 2011. Police wish to inform the public that 34 year old OMAR CHISLOM is now in police custody.

Central Division "Operation New Dawn" Makes Drug Bust
A routine traffic stop by officers of the Central Division engaged in "Operation New Dawn" has resulted in a 24 year old male being arrested. According to police reports around 11:00 am on Sunday 11th January, 2012 officers of the Central Division were on routine patrol on Navy Lyon Road when they stopped a 2005 Chevy Lumina occupied by two (2) men for a minor traffic infraction. During the stop, officers conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered a quantity of drugs (suspected marijuana) beneath the driver seat. The officers arrested one of the men; however, the driver was able to evade police. Central Division Conducts Operation "Take Back"
In keeping with the Commissioner of Police policing plan to "Tackle Crime", officers of the Central Division launched "Operation Take Back" on Friday 13th January, 2012. The four (4) hour long operation, which also included officers from the Internal Security Division, targeted prolific offenders, as well as persons engaged in minor crimes. At the end of the operation three (3) people, two (2) females and a male, were arrested. A 54 year old female was arrested for Breach of the Liquor License Act, after officers conducted a search of her Quarry Mission Road residence and discovered a large quantity of liquor, sodas, water, backwoods, etc.
A 21 year old female of Sandy Lane, Masons Addition was arrested after officers conducted a search of her residence and discovered a large quantity of suspected marijuana and cash believed to be the proceeds from the sale of drugs. Officers also arrested a 20 year old male of Ross Corner, who was wanted on an Outstanding Warrant of Arrest. Officers of the Central Division would like to encourage all residents to adhere to all rules as police will continue with their efforts.

GB: Two Guns, Ammunition and Drugs Recovered
It was late morning, approximately 10:25am, Thursday 12th January, 2012, when a team of officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit here in Freeport were in the Midshipman Road area where they recovered five bags of suspected marijuana along with two firearms. The detectives were continuing an investigation when the discovery of the dangerous drugs weighing 52.5 pounds with a street value of $52,500.00 was made along with a silver and black .357 revolver with ten live rounds of ammunition and a black .45 Austria Glock pistol with thirty-eight rounds of ammunitions. The drugs and firearms were taken into police custody. At present, no arrest was made in this matter and investigations are being continued by the Unit.

Man Arrested For Gun And Ammunition
Initial police reports indicate that around 2:50 pm on Wednesday 12th January, 2012 police received information that two (2) men were involved in argument at Shady Hallow Street off Hawkins Hill and that one of the men was seen retrieving a shotgun from nearby bushes. Police responded and on arrival took custody of the shotgun and its shells, which was reportedly taken from the suspect by a third male.

Two Firearms Removed From Streets
Police in New Providence removed both a shotgun and a handgun from the streets of New Providence. According to police reports sometime around 10:30 am on Wednesday 11th January, 2012 officers of the Northeastern Division acting on information proceeded to an apartment complex at Wulff Road, east of Kemp Road where they uncovered a handgun along with a quantity of ammunition.
A short while later around 2:00 pm officers of the Mobile Division acting on information uncovered a shotgun, along with a quantity of shotgun shells in bushes at the rear of the Baillou Hills, Sporting Complex. No one was taken into custody in both matters. Active police investigations continue.

Grand Bahama Police Makes Drug Arrest
Four (4) men, all from the island from Bimini, are in police custody after they were found in possession of a quantity of suspected marijuana. Initial police reports indicate that around 4:50 pm on Tuesday 10th January, 2012 officers of the Drug Enforcement Officers, Grand Bahama District, executed a search warrant on a residence at Sir Francis Point, Lucaya where they discovered the drugs. The drugs weigh 13.5 pounds and have an estimated street value of thirteen thousand five hundred ($13,500.00) dollars. The men ages, 20, 21, 31 and 32 years were taken into custody. Southwestern Division Smash House-Breaking Ring
Jewelry, flat screen televisions, laptops, and a shotgun are some of the items recovered by officers of the Southwestern Division in an overnight operation.
Initial police reports indicate that between 4:00 pm on Tuesday 10th January, 2012 and 5:30 am on Wednesday 11th January, 2012 officers of the Southwestern Division conducted an operation in the Southwestern District (Carmichael Road), targeting prolific housebreakers as well as people who purchased stolen items.
The operation resulted in eight (8) people, three (3) men and five (5) females, being taken into custody after officers discovered a number of suspected stolen items inside their respective residences.
Police wish to encourage members of the public to desist from purchasing stolen property as police will seek you out and place you before the courts.

Most Wanted Suspect "Mugs" Arrested
Police wish to inform that Andre Wallace alias "MUGS" is in police custody. The 25 year old male was arrested around 8:50 am on Wednesday 4th January 2012 at the intersection of Ragged Island Street and Andros Avenue by officers from the Central Detective Unit without incident. On Wednesday 2nd November, 2011 police issued a wanted bulletin for the resident of Amos Ferguson Street. Police want to question this suspect in connection with the Murder at Palmetto Avenue off East Street at 6:00 am on Thursday 15th September, 2011. Additionally, police want to question this suspect in connection with the death of the female discovered on rocks at Blue Water Cay, on Friday 2nd December, 2011.
